15th European Funds Trophy

Since 2007 The European Funds Trophy has been organised by Fundclass, a qualitative fund rating agency. They enable investors to distinguish the performance of funds and their promoters.

For a fund to receive 5 stars in the Fundclass methodology, it must first perform consistently well in terms of risk-adjusted return. On a scale from 2 to 5 stars, only 4 and 5 star funds guarantee a regular return for investors. For the classification of management companies, the range is filtered. The companies are divided into eight categories according to their size.

The number of ranked funds in the selection is then counted. The awards for the best management companies cover a four-year period. A second prize, the Fundclass Trophy, refers to the last seven years. Finally, there are two levels of awards, the national awards and the European awards. Getting an award is very important for managers and their funds. Apart from the marketing aspect, it is the assurance of media coverage on a European scale.
